General Questions

What is the Jeep® Adventure Academy?

The Jeep® Adventure Academy was created to educate new members of the Jeep® Brand family how to use their vehicle off-road. The Adventure Academy will be conducted with world-renowned instruction from the team at Jeep Jamboree USA, the experts in Jeep® 4×4 adventures since 1953. Small class sizes will ensure that every participant will get individual attention and walk away from the day with skills they could not learn elsewhere from true experts in the field. Jeep® 4×4 owners will develop skills in areas such as:

  • Trail etiquette basics
  • How to properly setup your vehicle before venturing off-road
  • How to safely attempt obstacles
  • Locating and connecting with your local Jeep® 4×4 community
  • Question & answer sessions with experts – eliminate the unknown

Who can I bring?

Vehicles are limited to a driver and one guest.  Bringing pets is strongly discouraged. If your pet must attend, you must submit a pet waiver prior to the event. Click here for pet waiver.

Will I be the only off-road rookie?

No! We expect more than 50% of attendees to be “first-timers.” The Jeep® Adventure Academy provides entry level off-road education and instruction to build confidence and a solid foundation of off-roading skills for all participants.

What’s a typical event schedule?

Please reference individual trip pages as schedules vary per location.

In addition to your Jeep® 4×4, we highly recommend bringing:

  • Snacks
  • Layered clothing
  • Insect repellent and sunscreen
  • A camera and/or video camera
  • A portable chair for lunch on the trail (Rubicon and Moab events)

NOTE: ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON ANY TRAIL RIDE! Violators will be removed without a refund and banned from all future Jeep® Adventure Academy events.


Fees & Inclusions

What will the event cost?

A one-day session starts at $199 and requires Jeep® Brand 4×4 vehicle ownership. You must register in advance. Register Now

What does the event fee cover?

Your fee covers all necessary permits, land-use fees, and experienced guides for the event. Lunch and Jeep® swag will be provided with every registration.

What about meals?

Light refreshments will be provided when you arrive in the morning.  If you prefer a full breakfast, we recommend eating before you check-in. Lunch will be provided for all participants.  NOTE: Meals vary. Regretfully, no accommodations can be made for special diets or dietary restrictions.


Registering, canceling, transferring

When is the cutoff date for new event registrations, adding or changing a passenger?

You may register, add or change passengers until 8 days prior to the event date (subject to availability). All new event registrants and added or changed passengers must sign a waiver. If adding a passenger online, you MUST be signed into your account in order to successfully add a passenger to your current registration. Passengers may not be changed during the event. All participants must be pre-registered (NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION). New event registrations and/or adding a passenger to your Jeep® 4×4 within 7-days prior to your event date WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Questions regarding my vehicle

May I bring my Jeep® Renegade, Compass, Cherokee, or Grand Cherokee?

Trailhawk models only. NOTE: The Rubicon Trail events are suitable only for Rubicon model Wranglers and Rubicon model Gladiators; Renegade, Compass, Cherokee and/or Grand Cherokee vehicles will not be permitted on the Rubicon Trail.

Could my vehicle be damaged at an event?

Every effort is made by Jeep® Adventure Academy to make the trails as safe as possible. Participants are advised to closely follow instructions given by trail guides, spotters, and staff. However, there is always a possibility of damaging your vehicle when navigating rough terrain. Any damage is the owner’s responsibility.

Can my friend who owns a non-Jeep® Brand vehicle also participate?

Only if he or she rides in your Jeep® 4×4! Jeep® Adventures Academy events are strictly for Jeep® 4x4s.

Does my Jeep® 4×4 need special equipment?

No! Your Trail Rated factory Jeep® 4×4 is ready to go! NOTE: Jeep® Renegade, Compass, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee must be Trailhawk models.


Personal & Public Safety

What precautions are you taking with COVID-19?

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, our entire team has spent countless hours learning how to adapt to a new way of life.  We are working closely with state and local health officials to bring you the safest experience possible.

To ensure your safety, the safety of our team, and to make certain we’re doing our part not to contribute to the spread of this virus, we will be adhering to the following protocols:

  • All catering or food preparation staff will be required to follow state & local health official guidelines for food preparation.  
  • Access to hand sanitizing stations.
  • Promoting social distancing with signage & ground markings (minimum of 6’ apart).
  • Every participant will also receive a face mask at registration.  You are encouraged to wear a face-covering during the event.

In addition to these enhanced safety measures, we need your pledge to help ensure the health and well-being of fellow participants by adhering to these guidelines:

  • If you are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home!
  • If have been around anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, please stay home!
